Fulham returned to winning ways in the Championship today when they got the better of promotion-chasing Derby County at home.
The London outfit headed into the clash at Craven Cottage on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home.
Derby, who are currently at the top of the league table and are favourites to win automatic promotion to the Premier League, were expected by many to pick up all three points in London today.
However, the Rams were in for a shock as Fulham defeated them 2-0 to register their first win in seven Championship games.
Nikolay Bodurov broke the deadlock just past the half-hour mark when he shot home from a tight angle, and then on the stroke of half time Cauley Woodrow headed in Ross McCormack’s delivery.
The victory has lifted Fulham up to 19th in the Championship table with 39 points from 34 matches, eight points above the relegation zone.
Following the match, Woodrow took to social networking site Twitter to revel in the triumph.
