Spurs go in to the match on Sunday on the back of a disappointing Europa League exit, losing 3-1 on aggregate to Italian side Fiorentina in the round of 32.
Sunday’s League Cup final represents an enormous opportunity for Tottenham to win their first piece of silverware since 2008, and winger Chadli is confident that his side can repeat their league success against Chelsea and overcome the favourites.
"It means a lot to be at Wembley. We all worked hard to get there and now it's about winning the cup. It's one game and we know we can do it,” Chadli told the club’s official website.
"We have showed that we can beat Chelsea and we have to try to do it again."
Nacer Chadli vs Branislav Ivanovic
Spurs’ previous encounter with the Blues ended in one of the season’s biggest shocks of the campaign to date, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men running out 5-3 winners at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on New Year’s Day.
The Lilywhites were superior in so many areas on that day, with striker Harry Kane getting the better of the Blues’ centre-backs and Ryan Mason dominating Cesc Fabregas in the centre of midfield.
However, one area which may have been overlooked was Chadli’s ability to keep the dangerous Ivanovic pinned back and largely under control.
The Serbia international has a knack of scoring important goals, and his recent strikes against Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa and Liverpool have prompted widespread praise throughout the footballing world.
Tottenham's Belgian winger Chadli has a tough job on his hands in stopping the right-back from advancing up the pitch, but he will be tasked with keeping Ivanovic busy and focused solely on his defensive duties.
