Predicted Newcastle United and Aston Villa line-ups

St James Park Newcastle

Here are the possible sides Newcastle United and Aston Villa could go with this weekend.

To be played on Saturday 28th February 2015 at 15:00. Venue: St. James' Park, Newcastle

Odds: Newcastle 19/20, Draw 5/2, Aston Villa 18/5

Newcastle United head into the Premier League clash against Aston Villa after a poor performance and result against Manchester City last weekend.

The Magpies were heavily beaten 5-0 against City and manager John Carver is likely to want to see much more from his team this weekend and could make a couple of changes ahead of the game.

The Chronicle has reported that Newcastle will be missing key midfielder Remy Cabella, which creates a question over who is going to provide the creativity in Newcastle’s team.

Aston Villa also head into the game after a negative result, losing 2-1 in Sherwood’s first official game in charge of the club.

Villa are struggling at the wrong end of the Premier League table and three points could be enough to help the side out of the bottom three by the end of the weekend.

Villa’s attacking record, the worst in the Premier League, has to improve. Sherwood is likely to stress the need for the team to move the ball forward as quickly as possible to try and create opportunities for the club’s attacking stars.
