The England under-18 international was in action at Carrington today.
Manchester United need a result in the Premier League this weekend when they take on Sunderland at Old Trafford tomorrow afternoon. They lost last week against Swansea City, the Welsh club doing the double over United for the season.
That result has left United fourth in the table, leapfrogged by Arsenal, and only three points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in seventh - with Southampton and Liverpool also in hot pursuit. It is certainly not ideal for Louis van Gaal's men.
The standard of United's play has been poor recently and a much improved performance is needed if they are to get a result against The Black Cats.
With that in mind they have been hard in training, including a new member to the first-team fold. In the background of this snap showing Adnan Januzaj getting put through his paces is a little known face wearing the number '47' kit.
The player in question is 19-year-old midfielder James Weir.
The former Preston North End academy player moved to the United system at the age of 13 and has become a key part of the youth team at the club.
And England under-18 international, he is a creative midfielder, who has played a lot of his football at full-back because of the competition for places in the United midfield area at youth level.
But he has obviously done something to impress as he is clearly involved in the first-team session in the background of the featured picture.
Times are hard for United, but we doubt they are desperate to throw a youngster in the mix just yet. But remember the name James Weir, because he might just be a future Manchester United first-teamer.
