Manchester United defender Phil Jones has praised teammate Marcos Rojo for the way he has adapted to life at Old Trafford.

In an interview with MUTV, Jones has said the man who joined from Sporting Lisbon in the summer is playing in the right way for the club.

Jones, who has played alongside Rojo for much of the season, said: "Since Marcos has come he’s played the right way and in the way we’ve wanted to play. It’s difficult to come over to a different country and a different league and go straight into the team and hit your form, but he’s done well.”

United's defence hasn't look the strongest this season, with David De Gea having been the man to bail them out time and again at the back, and it was breached on their last outing in the 2-1 defeat to Swansea City last weekend.

Rojo's form has seemed to improve as the season has gone on. There has been the odd occasion when he has been found wanting but as he has had more game time, and got to know his teammates a lot better, he seems to have created more of an understanding with those around him - and looked at home in both a defensive three or four.

United will hope for more improvement from Rojo and the team as a whole in the race for the Champions League places, as the race for the top four has tightened up significantly in recent weeks. Though United are among the sides to have conceded the lowest amount in the Premier League, it's a concern that they let in the odd one or two here and there.
