Christian Eriksen has been speaking about the prospect of Frank De Boer managing Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur play-maker Christian Eriksen has been speaking about how he believes Frank de Boer would do if the Dutchman was in charge at White Hart Lane.

In comments published by Goal.com, the Danish international had his say on the Ajax manager despite the fact that Mauricio Pochettino is firmly in place at Spurs.

“De Boer would be positive for each team, as he was as a player,” Eriksen said.

“His ideas, his implementation of those ideas and his mentality, at Tottenham, a club where the pressure is high, he would definitely do well.”

Considering Pochettino has impressed since taking over in North London, the prospect of De Boer swapping Ajax for Tottenham any time soon is a slim one, even if Eriksen did see his side crash out of the Europa League to Fiorentina on Thursday evening.

Tottenham lost that match 2-0 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate but they now turn their attentions to the Capital One Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday, a match they will know they stand a good chance of winning having beaten the Blues in impressive style earlier in the campaign.

Pochettino may not have to worry too much about his position just yet, and the way he has his youngsters playing with their more experienced teammates is a fine sight.
