Tottenham Hotspur's talented Dane has been speaking about his form this season.
Tottenham Hotspur player Christian Eriksen has been speaking about his form this season.
In comments published by Goal.com, the 23-year-old play-maker explained why he is scoring more but creating less, at least in terms of converted chances.
The Danish international has scored 11 goals this season and has provided four assists. In comparison, in the previous campaign the Spurs player netted 12 goals in total but set up a teammate on 16 separate occasions.
Now the Tottenham player has opened up on why that may be, explaining, “At Ajax I was more used to playing passes and assists but at Spurs that is done by other players.
“I automatically get in more scoring positions because of that. In terms of the number of goal-scoring chances I’ve had, I’m not doing badly.”
He is not doing badly at all, and if he continues with this form he could be pushing double figures come the end of the season.
For now he will be focusing on the upcoming League Cup final against Chelsea – a match that could make-or-break Tottenham’s season after they were eliminated from the Europa League earlier this week.
The last time Eriksen came up against Chelsea, he neither scored nor assisted, and that is something he will surely want to put right this weekend.
