To be played on Friday 27th February at 19:45. Venue: Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk.
Odds: Falkirk 5/2, Draw 5/2, Rangers 19/20
Rangers will look to get their league season back on track when they visit Falkirk Stadium on Friday night.
Kenny McDowall’s Gers have struggled in recent times, losing against Celtic in the Scottish League Cup, Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup and Hibernian in the league. However, a win against Raith in the league last Friday has moved them to within two points of Hibernian in second, who they could temporarily overtake tonight.
History is very much against Falkirk in this fixture, with Rangers winning the last 16 league meetings between the sides. You have to go back to December 2006 for The Bairns last win against Friday's visitors, but they won a Scottish League Cup tie more recently in September 2011.
Rangers will be without Marius Zaliukas and Ian Black, who are both suffering from flu, but Biel Mohsni, who was suffering with a cut on his knee sustained at the Africa Cup of nations, and Kenny Miller, who injured his groin in the game against Hibernian two weeks ago, both return to the squad.
Lee McCulloch is also available after injuring his neck in the last game against Raith Rovers, where he was replaced at half-time by Darren McGregor.
Peter Houston is without Aaron Muirhead and Owain Tudur-Jones, who are both continued absentees following knee surgery. However, midfielder Alex Cooper does return to the squad after serving a two-match ban.
Falkirk predicted line up:
MacDonald, Duffy, McCracken, Vaulks, Grant, Taiwo, Kerr, Leahy, Sibbald, Loy, Baird
Rangers predicted line up:
Robinson, Faure, McCulloch, McGregor, Wallace, Law, Murdoch, Hutton, Vuckic, Clark, Boyd
