West Ham fans react on Twitter to new Mark Noble contract

West Ham United fans have given their thoughts on Mark Noble signing a new deal with the club.

West Ham United confirmed earlier today that midfielder Mark Noble has put pen to paper on a new contract, which keeps him at the club until 2020.

The 27-year-old is one of most important players in Sam Allardyce’s first team squad, forming part of their midfield core.

He’s been consistent this season, producing good performances in big games for the club and will be looking to push himself over the rest of the campaign.

He was understandably delighted with the deal.

“I’m obviously over the moon because it takes me until I’m 33!” the midfielder told the club’s website.

“I’m very happy with the contract and very grateful to the Chairmen for giving me it and I’m looking forward to the next five years.”

West Ham have made a big commitment to the player and he should now be looking to pay them back for the faith they have shown in him.

The challenge for the Allardyce is finding ways to keep him motivated and consistent over the rest of the season.

The Upton Park boss also needs to keep him fit because he’ll be an important player with the Hammers chasing at least a Europa League place by the end of the campaign.

Noble has been a West Ham player since he was 13-years-old and is a good role model for the club to use in terms of the current youngsters looking to break into the first team.

He knows all about the identity of the club and has also tasted captaincy responsibilities, which means he’s well placed to offer guidance over how West Ham’s players should behave and conduct themselves around the pitch.

Noble is an example of a player who isn’t motivated by a big salary. He’s a player who will always give his best for the club as he tries to make the difference in big games across all competitions.

Here’s what West Ham fans on Twitter had to say about the news.
