To be played on Saturday 28th February 2015 at 15:00. Venue: Madejski Stadium, Reading
Odds: Reading 6/5, Draw 12/5, Forest 9/4
Reading will have plenty of faces familiar to Nottingham Forest within their ranks when two sides in contrasting form lock horns at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
The Royals will hope that insider knowledge works in their favour, although a lot has happened at the City Ground of late and Forest are an entirely different prospect now than they were a few weeks ago, never mind a few months/years back.
Steve Clarke will, however, be looking for the likes of Chris Gunter, Simon Cox, Jamie Mackie, Garath McCleary and Nathaniel Chalobah to impress if they get the nod this weekend.
Reading need some inspiration from somewhere, with three defeats in their last four Championship outings forcing them to glance nervously over their shoulder again – with the relegation zone now nine points below them.
Forest have endured no such troubles over recent weeks, with the Reds positively flying since replacing Stuart Pearce with Dougie Freedman.
The new man in charge on Trentside has enjoyed a five-match opening to his reign that has delivered four wins, 13 points and 16 goals.
He will be looking for that honeymoon period to be stretched into a sixth fixture, allowing Forest to keep their faint promotion dreams alive.
There is a 12-point gap to be bridged if they are to make the play-offs and offer themselves a shot at securing a Premier League return, but anything is possible at this stage with there still 13 games to come in the 2014/15 campaign.

“We always look forward to playing at our own stadium. I know people try to make a big thing about the recent home games. But before that we had a good run when we did do well and we did pick up results.”

“With Gards just sitting there it allows me and H to go forward as much as possible. We’re free when we’re attacking and he’s our security. Then when we’re defending if I’m forward H will cover me, or vice versa. I think it’s working really well. We’ve got a licence to get in the box, we’re getting shots off and teams can’t really deal with us.”
