Leeds United need to react positively to defeat at Brighton earlier this week.
Leeds United head into their game against Watford this weekend looking to react to a defeat at the hands of Brighton earlier this week.
Leeds boss Neil Redfearn faces a challenge in terms of picking his team up after the setback, which brought a good run of form to an end.
The side looked a little fatigued against Brighton, especially in midfield, and Redfearn may make one or two changes to his starting line-up.
Here are five key players for Leeds.
Cooper was solid on his return to the team as captain earlier this week. The side conceded two goals but he looked sharper when compared to Sol Bamba, who seemed to be a little off the pace and generally tired.
Leeds are facing one of the highest scoring sides in the Championship in Watford; only Bournemouth have scored more this season. Austin is going to be important in terms of getting stuck in and disrupting the rhythm of Watford’s attacking players.
Sloth was pulled off after an hour against Brighton, but he may keep his place because he has fresher legs than other midfield options. If he gets another chance, he has to cash in and justify his place.
Mowatt needs to try and rediscover the form he’s been showing in recent games. He’s got a good knack of getting into dangerous positions around the opponent’s penalty area and cashing in with goals.
Antenucci could come into the side in place of Steve Morison. Morison works as hard as anyone else in the team but Leeds need goals at the moment and Antenucci will be a bit fresher than his more experienced colleague. He’s also scored eight more goals this season.
