The young winger has made just one appearance for the Red Devils and, with his contract expiring this summer, he has been linked with a departure from Old Trafford.
As reported by Calciomercato earlier this week, the Brazilian and Belgian youth international was being tracked by Juventus, PSV and Milan ahead of a potential summer move, and had already been offered a contract by Juve. The Serie A giants are looking to steal him away from United in a similar situation that saw them secure the signing of Paul Pogba, and, although offered a new contract by United, Pereira himself is seemingly looking forward to a transfer to Turin.
Quoted yesterday by Tuttosport, the 19-year-old confirmed that he had been in talks with Pogba concerning the transfer, with the French international telling him that a move to Juventus would be ‘perfect’ for him.
A move to Juventus looks most likely at this moment in time, although there have been reports that Pereira has already signed with PSV. As claimed in Tuttosport - and quoted by Sport Witness - the youngster has already agreed a contract with the Eredivisie side, but Pereira’s agent, Leo Scheinkman, confirmed that no such deal was in place, and that the youngster’s future was still undecided.
“It's absolutely not true that Andreas has already signed with PSV and that next year he'll play in the Eredivisie,” the agent said. “The player has many offers and also Manchester United, there is still much time to decide and we'll do it with the upmost calm.”
Scheinkman continued to address United’s current offer to Pereira, admitting that it is unlikely he will sign a new contract with United whilst his lack of playing time continues - regardless of the money he is offered.
He added: “But before taking the decision we still want to see if United are willing to make another offer, although I think in the end the player's choice does not depend on just how much money is proposed. Andreas wants to play and have more chances than he currently gets at Manchester United and this will be crucial for him when choosing which jersey to wear next season.”
