The Barcelona striker commended the England number one for his sportsmanship in defeat this week.
The Uruguayan also got one over on City goalkeeper Joe Hart once again. In the World Cup this summer he scored two goals beyond Hart that effectively knocked England out of the competition.
Now he has done the same, to effectively knock Hart's club team Manchester City out of the Champions League.
Hart must be sick of the sight of the former Liverpool man, but Suarez has only kind words to say about the City shot-stopper. He is quoted by Inside Spanish Football as telling the Spanish press this week:
“Hart? He is a spectacular professional. The same thing happened in the World Cup, he congratulated me and told me that it was incredible, to keep going. Apart from being a great professional, this shows what a great person he is."
Interestingly, while Suarez might have done the business, Hart may have kept City in the tie. He saved a penalty from Lionel Messi in the dying moments of the game. Fortunately for the Premier League champions Messi also fluffed his lines when following in the rebound so the tie is not beyond reach.
Amid all the Suarez uproar after the game and pernickety keyboard warriors trying to find a flaw in Suarez's actions in the game, regarding this apparent 'bite' on Martin Demichelis, it is good to see that England's number one was good enough to stay humble and simply congratulate Suarez on a job well done.
