Leeds United boss gives injury update on Sam Byram and Steve Morison

Neil Redfearn is hoping the key duo will be back for the Watford game this weekend.

Leeds United face high-flying Watford this weekend in The Championship, aiming to get back on track after a minor setback in the week. Leeds went to Brighton full of confidence after defeating then league leaders Middlesbrough at the Riverside - but were downed 2-0 by The Seagulls.

There were, however, some problems ahead of the game, and during, regarding injuries and fitness.

Sam Byram has been performing brilliantly on the wing recently. His pace and ability to run behind the back-line was badly missed as Brighton were rarely stretched.

He missed the game with a knock but Neil Redfearn has told his press conference that he should be fine for the weekend. He said, as posted by the official Leeds United Twitter account:

They also lost Steve Morison in the game. The hold up man may not be scoring the goals, but he is having a big hand in setting them up. The target man has become Redfearn's striker of choice despite the likes of Billy Sharp, Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara backing him up.

He came off in the 50th minute of the Brighton game with a slight injury and Redfearn is hopeful he will also be back for the weekend:

Here's hoping both make it back in time to try and put Watford to the sword.
