Five games, four wins: Jordon Ibe already essential for Liverpool

Since being recalled from loan, the talented winger has played a key role in the Reds’ strong run of form.

Jordon Ibe is quickly becoming a key player for Liverpool, with the homegrown talent starring for an in-form Reds side since the turn of the year.

Brendan Rodgers made the astute decision to recall the youngster from a loan stint at Championship side Derby in January and threw Ibe straight into the fold for the Merseyside derby against Everton.

Crucially, since returning to Anfield, Ibe has featured in five Premier League games, with the Merseyside club yet to be beaten with the youngster in the team.

Liverpool have won four of the five games that the talented Englishman has played a part in, while drawing the clash against Everton 0-0.

Ibe started in crucial wins over Tottenham and most recently Southampton, while he came off the bench in 2-0 victories over Aston Villa and West Ham.

The Reds have only conceded two goals in the five games that the youngster has featured in also.

Although the side had momentum before Ibe was reintroduced, the teenager still deserves credit for playing his part in the team’s push for a top-four finish.
