Here is the Everton side Roberto Martinez has selected to play Young Boys.
Everton: Howard, Garbutt, Alcaraz, Jagielka (c), Coleman, Gibson, Barry, McCarthy, Mirallas, Naismith, Lukaku
Subs: Joel, Baines, Kone, Besic, Osman, Barkley, Browning
Everton were arguably the most impressive of the British sides in the Europa League last week, stretching out a 4-1 advantage over Swiss side Young Boys.
That first leg performance has eased the pressure over Roberto Martinez for this game, allowing him the luxury of being able to hold players back for an important Premier League game against Arsenal this weekend.
Everton will head into the match with a strong team either way and it’s a chance for any fresh legs to put some pressure on the boss ahead of that game against the Gunners.
Martinez will also be keen for his key first team stars to maintain the momentum they created last week, though any high profile players he may prefer to keep on the bench.
Everton can make a real statement ahead of the next round though they’ll have to be wary because Young Boys can’t take any other approach to this game than to fly out of the traps with attacking intent.
If Everton withstand early pressure, they should be able to see out the tie.
