Collison says former West Ham teammate Mark Noble is 'one hell' of a footballer

A former West Ham United player has expressed his delight following Mark Noble's new contract.

Former West Ham United player Jack Collison has taken to Twitter to congratulate his ex-teammate Mark Noble on the latter’s new contract at Upton Park.

As reported by the BBC, Noble has signed a contract extension with the Hammers until 2020, with the option of an additional year, and Collison was quick to praise the 27-year-old.

Writing on his official Twitter account, Collison said, “Well done Nobes on the new contract; one hell of a player and an absolute gent. Great news for all you West Ham fans.”

Collison made 121 appearances for West Ham but left Upton Park last summer as a free agent.

He moved to Championship side Ipswich Town but has now left due to injury and he is currently without a club.

At just 26, the Welsh international still has much to give but he turned his attention away from his own career to focus on that of a player he knows extremely well from his time in London.

Noble has been brilliant for the Hammers in what has been a wonderful campaign and his new contract is the latest piece of good news for supporters who have seen their team push on in recent times, not least due to some canny summer investments.
