Chelsea media round-up: Courtois claims to have edge over Tottenham's main man Kane

A round up of news stories this morning related to Chelsea.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has told the Daily Telegraph he’s relishing the prospect of facing up to striker Harry Kane.

The centre forward is Tottenham’s man of the moment having scored 24 goals in all competitions for Spurs this season.

He’s someone that Jose Mourinho would have been looking at different ways to keep quiet.

“Yeah, I know it, but I don’t have to say it now,” he replied when asked if he knew how Kane would try and score past him.

Courtois has also told the Daily Express he doesn’t get nervous over the prospect of penalty shoot-outs.

The Belgian shot stopper could be put under pressure this weekend when the Blues take on Tottenham in the League Cup final.

“I’m never nervous. If you play you have to do your best. You have to be prepared to play,” he said.

Courtois has been in good form this season after he was installed as the club’s number one by Jose Mourinho.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has been quoted by West London Sport claiming Lewis Baker is one of the best young players in England.

The 19-year-old is spending the rest of the season on loan with the League One club as they aim to get promoted into the Championship.

“Lewis is one of the most gifted young midfielders in England and I’m looking forward to working with him for the rest of the season,” said Robinson.

He’s reportedly been brought in as a replacement for Tottenham Hotspur owned Dele Alli.
