Former Tottenham, Manchester United and Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov got one over on Arsenal last night.
Dimitar Berbatov could not contain his grin as he scored Monaco's second of the night to give the club a healthy lead over Arsenal.
The wily former Premier League star may be 34-years-old, but he showed his talent still belongs on the big stage with a superb all round performance against the Gunners.
The Bulgarian's goal helped Monaco to a 3-1 Champions League win at The Emirates, with the Ligue 1 side now strong favourites to progress to the quarter-finals.
Berbatov won more aerial duels (4) than any other Monaco player, and completed 84 per cent of his passes in a typically effortless display which rolled back the years.
The striker played in the Premier League most recently for Fulham, and Manchester United, who paid £30 million to sign him from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day in 2008.
The circumstances of that deal left many Tottenham fans angry, with the striker seen to be digging in to force a move, just months after helping the club to a League Cup win at Wembley over Chelsea, which they hope to repeat this coming weekend.
They were however smiling last night, as Berbatov's goal put their fierce rivals Arsenal into real difficulty, and has the chance to turn the screw in the upcoming second leg. Here is a look at how Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter to his display...
