Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly close to bringing in a new signing.
A 3-1 win took them back up to 11th after a run of seven games without a victory, which had dented any play-off hopes they had.
Manager Stuart Gray is still looking at ways to improve his team, and is attempting to make new signings still, with 13 games to go before the season ends.
Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield after the game, Gray admitted he had been close to adding a Premier League player on loan before the match, and still hopes a deal can be done.
Asked if they were 'close', Gray said: "We were. It's very frustrating again. I'm not the only one, there's lots of Championship managers trying to bring players in and strengthen but its dictated by what the Premier League boys want to do at this moment in time.
"Theres still a chance. Somebody has picked up an injury in training and he (the manager) wants to see how he is. "Hopefully we'll have something to announce."
Wednesday already have Will Keane on loan from Manchester United, but their loan signing of Lewis Baker from Chelsea was terminated early with the midfielder failing to command a starting spot.
With injuries being picked up at this stage of the season, including to new striker Sergiu Bus who missed last night's win, a new addition would be welcome in helping give further impetus to help Wednesday secure a top 10 finish or even make a late run at the play-offs.
