League One side Preston North End closed the gap on second placed MK Dons to just three points after winning their game in hand against Walsall.
North End managed to rack up a fourth successive win, and a fourth successive clean sheet after beating the Saddlers 1-0 at Deepdale on Tuesday night.
January signing Daniel Johnson scored his second goal in as many games, following on from his strike against Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
The 22-year-old has made a big impression in Lancashire so far, justifying Simon Grayson's decision to pay what he claims was just £50,000 to sign him from Aston Villa last month.
Johnson wasn't really given a chance to shine at Villa under Paul Lambert, and with his contract at Villa Park set to expire this summer, they decided to cash in on him for a nominal fee.
It's important to note the difference in divisions, but Johnson's goalscoring exploits in recent days are interesting considering Villa's struggles in front of goal.
New manager Tim Sherwood likes to trust young players so maybe he would have been given more opportunities under the new Villa boss - but now he's setting out to prove Villa wrong for selling him.
Preston fans were delighted with a man of the match display from Johnson, and took to Twitter after the game to praise his performance - with many noting the alleged £50,000 fee for him, which many believe to be a bargain based on his performances for the Lilywhites so far.
Here are reactions from Preston fans after Johnson's display against Walsall...

Very good 1st half, couldn't control the 2nd, however it's three points in the bag. Daniel Johnson deservedly Man of the match #pnefc— Sean Pearson (@SeanPearson94) February 24, 2015
Very good in the 1st half, poor in the 2nd but we got there in the end, Johnson is a wonderful signing, 3 points is all that matters #pnefc— Connor (@connorb96_) February 24, 2015
