Liverpool did not make any new signings in January, but the decision to recall Jordon Ibe from his loan spell is proving an inspired decision.
The winger has acclimatised instantly to playing football at the top level after spending the first half of the season with Derby County, and will be hoping to make a telling impact in their Europa League fixture with Besiktas this week.
Ibe played a prominent role in the club's win in the first leg, and put in an impressive display against Southampton at the weekend.
He featured in training alongside teammates Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli and Raheem Sterling as the Reds took part in their final session before flying out to Turkey.
The Reds have a tricky task against Slaven Bilic's side, who have former Chelsea striker Demba Ba leading their attack.
Balotelli's late penalty gave them a 1-0 win at Anfield which gives them a narrow lead, and the fact the Turks did not score an away goal was also a big plus.
The pace of Ibe and Sterling in attack could be crucial in helping Liverpool see out the second leg and netting an away goal themselves, and they appear in confident mood heading into the tie.
