The former Nice goalkeeper has faced Monaco on several occasions.
Arsenal take on AS Monaco this evening in a crunch Champions League tie at The Emirates. Arsenal, who finished top of their respective group, have received a reward with a tie perhaps more favourable than their recent meetings with Bayern Munich.
One player who will know all about taking on Monaco is their current number one keeper David Ospina. He would have faced Monaco in what is something of a derby game whilst the number one stopper at former club Nice.
He played for Nice for six years between 2008 and 2014 and in that time he made several appearances against the Monegasque.
In fact, he actually made his Nice debut against them in October 2008, a game won 2-1 by his team. Altogether he faced the club seven times in Ligue 1, with a mixed record against them. He won and drew two of his previous meetings with Monaco and lost three.
He even faced an infamous Arsenal flop during that time. South Korean striker Park Chu-Young never truly got off the ground at Arsenal. Instead he consistently flopped in front of goal and last summer he was released from his contract.
But despite his Arsenal troubles, he assisted a goal in a meeting between the two clubs in 2009 - a game in which Loic Remy scored for Ospina's men.
Ospina will be hoping to add another win to his record v Monaco tonight.
