Wall Street just shouldn’t make parody videos - dejected employees killing each other for jobs and management joking about how expendable they are.
The New York Post reports that bankers at Morgan Stanley made a questionable 10-minute parody of 'The Hunger Games' showing dejected employees killing each other for jobs and management joking about how expendable they are.
The video, which is about a year old and features the head of MS’s brokerage, is another in a long line of YouTube embarrassments that show bankers out of touch with the general public — but with a bleaker tone than usual.
'Margin Games: Manager on Fire', as the spoof is called, was never shown to the 1,600 wealth management employees, said Chisty Jockle, a Morgan Stanley spokeswoman. The trade publication InvestmentNews first published the video on Tuesday.
The video follows the basic plotline of the mega-popular movie franchise, which stars Jennifer Lawrence. Employees from the bank’s far-flung regions volunteer to kill each other for the approval of the 'Home Office'.
