Luis Suarez shows Liverpool what they’re missing in ‘best’ Barcelona game

The Uruguayan netted twice in the Spaniards’ 2-1 victory over Manchester City last night and stated that is was his best showing.

Luis Suarez was coming in for some criticism in the early days of his Barcelona career, with the former Liverpool striker struggling to replicate his Anfield form at the Camp Nou.

However, with performances steadily improving in recent weeks and the Uruguayan starting to look back to his best, Suarez is starting to find his feet with the Spanish side.

The tempestuous striker proved his worth in last night’s Champions League clash with Manchester City by scoring both of Barcelona’s goals in their 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Suarez stated in the aftermath of the game that he felt it was his best performance in the Blaugrana colours.

“Maybe (it’s my best game). I think so but I’m not sure,” he told reporters after the game, reported by The Daily Star.

“I try every game to help the team. With both goals I am so happy.”

Although Liverpool have improved dramatically in recent months, the Merseyside club be much more of a dangerous prospect with the Uruguay international in their forward line.

Joe Allen recently said that the Reds were stronger now than last term with Suarez in their side, but there is no doubt that most of the Anfield faithful would welcome the striker back with open arms.

Although Lionel Messi and Neymar have both scored more goals than Suarez this season, the Uruguayan is starting to show that he can be just as an important member of the Catalan side.
