The former Liverpool defender was singing the praises of Suarez last night.
The former Liverpool striker has apparently 'struggled' settling in at the Catalan side - well last night, he seemed fairly settled to most onlookers.
One such person was Jamie Carragher, of course a former team-mate of Suarez's at Liverpool.
He was Tweeting throughout the game and had his former team-mate's back throughout the game.
He first started when City fans booed Suarez with every touch. His reputation preceding him? Or perhaps sour grapes remain from his domination of England at the World Cup in the summer?
Either way Carragher felt it was over the top:
When Suarez silenced the crowd moments later, Carragher sent this Tweet, bemoaning the lack of Suarez in the Premier League:
Thought that booing was silly! What a player Suarez is. Should all be disappointed when we lose players like that from the Prem. Bite or not— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) February 24, 2015
Needless to say Suarez has been missed at Liverpool, just as much as Carragher has. His goals are invaluable. Even when out of form, he proved last night he can find the back of the net, twice, against top-class opposition.
The Premier League certainly has lost some of it's bite since the departure of it's most famous biter.
