Arsene Wenger has said Jack Wilshere is the only fitness concern ahead of the Champions League match against Monaco.
Wilshere has been out of action since he was injured in the Premier League defeat against Manchester United at the Emirates last year, but has returned to training ahead of his comeback in the first team.
“The only uncertainty is Wilshere. He was rested in training today. There's no setback,” said Wenger.
The fact Wilshere had to be rested during a training session suggests that Arsenal are waiting only on his sharpness and general fitness levels to improve before he comes back into the team.
Things don’t get any easier for Arsenal because after the massive pressure of playing Monaco in the Champions League, the Gunners face a difficult home match in the Premier League against Everton.
The Toffees are scrambling to improve their position on the Premier League table while Arsenal fight for the top four, but for now the focus will be on Europe and a first leg advantage, which will provide the boss with the possible luxury of being able to make changes in the second game against Monaco.
