The London Evening Standard believes that Tottenham Hotspur stars Danny Rose, Ryan Mason and Eric Dier will all be left out against Fiorentina on Thursday night.
The Spurs trio have all been key players for the Lilywhites this campaign, but it seems that they will be given a rest in the second-leg of the Europa League clash.
Tottenham play Chelsea in the Capital One Cup just three days after their match against Fiorentina and Mauricio Pochettino is seemingly not prepared to risk fatiguing his more crucial players before his side's match at Wembley.
As a result Rose, Mason are Dier are all likely to have to watch from the sidelines, with Spurs set to play some of their more fringe players in the tie against the Serie A side.
That could be a risk, but it appears to be a calculated one by Pochettino who is placing a higher value on winning the Capital One Cup than the Europa League.
Tottenham drew 1-1 with Fiorentina in the first-leg of the tie, meaning that they need to claim a high-scoring draw or a win in Italy to progress.
After the match, Spurs are due to train on the Friday before they fly back to England later that evening in what looks a gruelling schedule for the side.
