Winter signing Krystian Bielik has been snapped training with the Arsenal first-team squad ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Monaco, alongside fellow prospects Semi Ajayi and Glen Kamara.
None of the three teenagers are expected to take part in the first-leg of the last-16 tie at the Emirates Stadium, however, which sees Arsene Wenger take on the side he managed between 1987 and 1994.
Monaco are on a good run of form, sitting fourth in Ligue 1 with one defeat in their last 17 matches in all competitions, but Arsenal have lost just twice to French teams in 20 competitive fixtures.
In addition, the Gunners have won eight of their last nine games, despite injuries to Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy and Jack Wilshere, with the latter ruled out of the tie after missing their final training session.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was seen being put through his paces, however, and the midfielder is thought to have a chance of taking part tomorrow evening after recovering from a groin problem.
Goalkeeper David Ospina also took full part in training after shrugging off a minor back problem, and will be hoping to keep out ex-Tottenham Hotspur star Dimitar Berbatov on the Monaco striker’s return to north London.
