Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi’s bold move should be praised

Forest City Ground

Fawaz Al-Hasawi will answer questions from the Nottingham Forest fans at the City Ground later today.

Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi will meet the club’s fans later today, according to the Reds' official website.

The Kuwaiti businessman will be available to answer any questions from the supporters this afternoon at the City Ground.

It is a free event and is open to all supporters, and one suspects that Al-Hasawi will face some serious questions from the fans.

Good move

However, this is a great idea, and one which is likely to endear Al-Hasawi to the Forest fans.

Since taking over the Championship outfit in 2012, Al-Hasawi has made some decisions which have not gone down well with the supporters.

The sacking of managers, for one, is an issue that does not sit too well with the fans, who want to see the club gain some sort of stability.

Al-Hasawi could face these questions today, but it is good for the club as a whole as the fans will get to know the reasons for those decisions straight from him.

The fans will also get to know the exact plan the Forest chairman has in the coming years, and how he plans to take the Reds back to the Premier League.

It is not very common for club chairmen and owners to invite fans to an open forum, and one should praise Al-Hasawi for taking this bold step.
