Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri was hugely impressive against Middlesbrough last weekend.
Leeds United have confirmed on their website that goalkeeper Marco Silvestri was named in the Football League's Team of the Week after his performance against Middlesbrough this weekend.
Silvestri was in fine form as he thwarted Middlesbrough on a number of occasions to help his side claim an impressive 1-0 win at the Riverside Stadium.
Middlesbrough have been one of the Championship's standout sides this season, but Leeds showed just how much of a threat they can be with Alex Mowatt's goal providing them with the victory.
It was arguably their most impressive result of the campaign to date, with their defence standing strong against one of England's most potent attacking units.
The likes of Sol Bamba and Scott Wootton put in fine performances to help Leeds keep a clean-sheet, but it was Silvestri who stood out the most.
The Italian stopper made a remarkable 10 saves and claimed a cross during the match, meaning he was the busiest 'keeper across the whole division this weekend.

Silvestri's display showed just how much potential he has and if he can continue to reach those sort of standards then Leeds look to have a very solid foundation to build upon.
