A selection of the latest stories in the media surrounding Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.

Tottenham are going to remain in Italy for much of the Friday after their Europa League encounter with Fiorentina the previous day, according to the London Evening Standard.

Spurs will take all of their big guns out to Florence as they spend part of their preparation for the League Cup final there the day after they will have hoped to have progressed to the last 16 of the Europa League.

The second leg is finely poised after the Italian side salvaged a 1-1 draw in the first leg at White Hart Lane.

Midfielder Paulinho has been speaking about the relationship he has with Mauricio Pochettino in the London Evening Standard.

The Brazilian has not been among Pochettino's preferred starters, with the Spurs boss opting for a midfield pairing of Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb, but he says he has a pretty good relationship with the man that took over in the summer, despite revealing he came close to leaving the club in the most recent transfer window.

He said: “I'm very relaxed and happy here. I have a good relationship with Pochettino. One needs to be professional above all. It’s really good with my team-mates and I have no problems with anybody.

“If we had a Brazilian in the group of players it would be perfect, but that's football. I’m doing fine here. I can’t complain.”

Former Tottenham striker Clive Allen is quoted in the Daily Mail talking about the club's academy products.

They have been one of the success stories at Tottenham so far this season, with Harry Kane, Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason among those impressing.

Allen, who worked with the players when they were younger said: "It is a policy that Spurs have had for a while - developing their home-grown talent with some exceptional imports and now it is all coming together but that takes time.

"It is something that was the intention a good few years back. There was heavy investment in the youth policy and it is great to see those young lads given the opportunity and hopefully playing in a cup final."
