Gary Neville names the best Leeds United player he ever faced

Leeds United

An ex-Manchester United player has reflected on his time facing Leeds United.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville recently took part in a Question-and-Answer session for Twitter account Breathe Sport, during which he was asked something about Leeds United.

For obvious reasons, Neville is not particularly popular among the Elland Road faithful, and the player who was involved in some feisty encounters with the Whites joked about his feelings towards the club when asked who the best Leeds player he faced was.

“None were any good! Ha Ha,” he replied, before adding, “Viduka.”

Former Australian international Mark Viduka played 156 matches for Leeds, scoring 67 goals in that time.

He caused Neville – and plenty of other top flight defenders – all sorts of problems during his time in England and it is no surprise Neville named him as the best Leeds player he ever came up against.

With Leeds very much on the up under Neil Redfearn, they could soon be clashing with Neville’s former club once again…and that is something none of us can wait to see.
