Wigan host Cardiff in a midweek Championship clash.
Wigan host Cardiff City in a midweek Championship game, aiming for better luck than in their last home fixture.
The Latics are coming off a disappointing match on Friday night in which they lost 3-0 at home to Charlton Athletic, which saw them slip nine points behind the all important 21st place.
Wigan have lost four of their last six games, although did manage to win a week ago away to Reading.
Opponents Cardiff City are struggling for form themselves, having failed to win any of their last seven games.
They are in 17th place overall, and the good news for Wigan is that Cardiff's away record is among the worst in the division, 22nd overall of 24 teams, winning just one game on the road.
The counter to that is Wigan have the very worst home record in the Championship.
The Latics have won only two of 16 league games at the DW Stadium this season, drawing seven and losing seven. They are on an unwanted streak of 13 home games without a victory.
