Manchester City's Gael Clichy had a game to forget against Barcelona, sent off midway through the second half.
The defender was dismissed for a foul on Dani Alves, his second yellow card of the game, leaving City with an uphill task to fightback.
They lost the game 2-1, but it was almost worse, with Lionel Messi missing an injury time penalty which would have extended their lead.
Clichy will be unavailable for the away leg, with Aleksandr Kolarov expected to come in at left-back in his place.
The Frenchman had been tenacious throughout the game, making three tackles, which was more than any other City defender managed in 90 minutes, but his positioning left him in difficulty at times.
Going forward he attempted to offer an outlet into the box, but was able to find a teammate with only one of his four crosses.
Clichy is now 29, and it seems a long time ago that he was part of Arsenal's Invincibles squad which is being celebrated at present with a new documentary.
He left the Gunners to sign with City in 2011, and has won two Premier League titles since signing. He remains on the radar of fans, and his poor performance against Barcelona prompted plenty of comment via Twitter, and it was not positive.
Here's a look at what supporters had to say...
