West Ham fans were fuming with Alex Song after he gave away a late penalty in their 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

West Ham United were left heartbroken this afternoon after Tottenham came from 2-0 to earn a point at White Hart Lane.

The Hammers made the short trip from East to North London for a midday clash against Spurs, and it all looked to be going according to plan for Sam Allardyce's men.

Midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate gave West Ham the lead with a fine header from Aaron Cresswell's cross, and a lethargic Spurs side fell further behind when Diafra Sakho turned Mark Noble's cross into the net at the back post.

However, Danny Rose's bizarre shot looped over Adrian and into the net, before Harry Kane was brought down by Alex Song in the final seconds of added time, handing Tottenham a penalty - and whilst Kane saw his initial shot saved by Adrian, he followed up to tap the ball home and rescue a point for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

That makes it just one win in the last nine Premier League games for West Ham, but their performances merited so much more - fans fans were virtually unanimous over who to blame.

Midfielder Song committed the clumsy foul on Kane with just seconds to play, costing his side two points with an ill-advised tackle.

West Ham fans took to Twitter after the game to slam the display from the former Arsenal midfielder, with many suggesting that the Cameroon international, who is on loan for the season from Barcelona, is becoming a liability.
