Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion played out a goalless draw at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League on Saturday.

Sunderland failed to return to winning ways on Saturday as they were held to a goalless draw by West Bromwich Albion at home in the Premier League.

The Black Cats headed into the clash at the Stadium of Light on the back of a 2-0 defeat to League One outfit Bradford City away from home in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Gus Poyet’s side were expected by many to pick up all three points against fellow strugglers West Brom, but they had to settle for a share of the spoils.

It was a largely dull affair in which Sunderland dominated possession (62% to 38%) and had more shots than the Baggies (13 to 5).

However, the Black Cats could only have two of their shots on target in front of almost 41,000 spectators.

One of the players who failed to make an impact on the match was Danny Graham, who has struggled for Sunderland ever since his move from Swansea City in January 2013.

The striker was given a rare start on Saturday, but he failed to make the most of the chance thrown at him by manager Poyet.

Graham did not have a single shot, had a pass accuracy of 62% and made one clearance, although he did work hard and tried his best for the team.

Following the match, Sunderland fans took to social networking site Twitter to have their say on Graham’s performance against West Brom.
