Sheffield Wednesday went down 3-2 to Derby County at the iPro Stadium in the Championship on Saturday.

Sheffield Wednesday’s disappointing run of results continued on Saturday when they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Derby County away from home in the Championship.

Derby were favourites to pick up all three points heading into the clash at the iPro Stadium, but the hosts were given a run for their money by the Owls.

Lewis McGugan put Wednesday in the lead with a brilliant free kick in the 20th minute, and it remained 1-0 to the visitors until half time.

Jake Buxton headed home from George Thorne's corner in the 47th minute, but Will Keane made it 2-1 to Wednesday just minutes later.

However, it was the Rams who emerged victorious from the match. Buxton headed home from another corner in the 68th minute, and Darren Bent slotted home a penalty in the 77th minute to make it 3-2.

The defeat to league leaders Derby means that Wednesday are now 12th in the Championship table with 40 points from 32 matches, nine points above the relegation zone and 16 points behind sixth-placed Watford.

Following the match, Wednesday fans took to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the defeat.
