Queens Park Rangers lost 2-1 to Hull City this weekend but what did fans think of Steven Caulker's performance?
Queens Park Rangers lost 2-1 away to Hull City after a match full of incident on Saturday.
Much has – and will continue to be – written about Joey Barton’s red card, the midfielder sent off in the 32nd minute following an incident involving Alex Bruce and Tom Huddlestone, but following the match it was another QPR player who appeared to bear the brunt of the supporters’ frustrations.
Steven Caulker arrived at Loftus Road with a big reputation but he had a match to forget this weekend and QPR fans were quick to voice their displeasure on social media.
|Passing Accuracy||Effective Headed Clearances||Effective Clearances||Duels Won||Aerials Won||Mins Played|
The 23-year-old has made 25 appearances for the club this season but on Saturday he had a passing accuracy of just 60 per cent while he won just a single aerial battle and only one ground duel.
He did make 13 effective clearances but they ultimately came to nothing as Hull snatched a late winner courtesy of Dame N’Doye.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what QPR fans thought of Caulker’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Caulker massively overrated at fault for both goals— Russell Maynard (@maynardqpr) February 22, 2015
Move Caulker on in the summer. Becoming more & more of a liability.At fault for both goals yesterday IMO & many others this season #weaklink— SW17_R's (@FlavioFlav2) February 22, 2015
Caulker defending yesterday was school boy stuff— craig (@craiggale30) February 22, 2015
@COYRangers Caulker and Rio could work well, but need to cut out errors. Performances like the one at Sunderland needed.— Akshay (@TheAkshayVara) February 21, 2015
Barton didn't cost us the game today, Caulker was at fault for both goals!! #QPR— Ben Bruton (@bbruton3105) February 21, 2015
