This afternoon sees Southampton hope to take advantage of Manchester United's latest Premier League slip up when they face fellow Champions League chasers Liverpool. The game at St Mary's will certainly be an interesting affair for three Liverpool players, all of whom left Southampton in the summer.
Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren all moved to Merseyside in the summer, each player with varying degrees of blessing from the Saints fans.
Their departures were three of many at Southampton in the summer, which was supposed to see them become relegation fodder. Instead they have been galvanised under Ronald Koeman and are pushing for the Champions League spaces - currently ahead of Liverpool.
Of course the trio had some great moments at Southampton.
Lovren less so. The Croatian arrived in the summer of 2013 from Lyon and impressed in his debut season. He then forced his move to Liverpool which has not gone well for him. Struggling for form, he has recently been replaced by Emre Can at the back.
Lambert and Lallana mind stung more, as the pair had been at the club from the doldrums up.
Lallana was with Southampton from the age of 12 and the club stood by him through early fitness troubles. He then helped Southampton rise from financial disaster and League One football all the way to the Premier League and winning an England cap.
Lambert was one of the first signings of the Markus Liebherr era. A proven lower league goalscorer his goals took Southampton to where they are today.
Here are some pictures of their greatest moments at Southampton, as they prepare to face their former employers later today.
