It looked like being a wonderful weekend for Sam Allardyce’s men when they went 2-0 up through goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho. But with less than 10 minutes of normal-time to play Danny Rose halved the deficit, before Harry Kane won and converted a penalty with the last kick of the game.
Nene is likely to have been impressed with his first match since moving to London, if not with the result, but the 33-year-old will soon have the chance to influence things on the pitch.
The Brazilian was not fit enough to take part against Spurs but he was photographed arriving at White Hart Lane with his new teammates in a picture later posted on West Ham’s official Twitter account.
Nene is a left winger who has scored 108 goals and provided 77 assists in his club career to date, and he will be hoping to add to that soon after taking to the field for West Ham.
