The Leeds boss says the Brazilian has impressed him of late.
The Leeds boss had recently confirmed Adryan is pushing for a recall in training - and the 49-year-old took his analysis a step further after the win against Middlesbrough.
The 20-year-old Brazilian dazzled Leeds fans with his silky skills earlier this season and subsequently earned himself a regular spot in Redfearn's starting XI.
Adryan's form dipped, however, and the youngster appeared not to offer enough in a combative division like the Championship.
Now, though, Redfearn admits the attacking midfielder is impressing him, suggesting a return to the first team is not far off for the Brazilian.
"He's done a lot better, I have to say. He's working a lot harder. He realises now that there's other facets needed in the Championship," the 49-year-old said.
"It's unforgiving, it's like no other division and he's trying to buy into it. But he's doing his stuff - I have to say.
"I love the kid, he's got unbelievable ability but this division demands you've got to fight and do the horrible stuff. When he can get his head around that, he'll come back in, there's no two ways about it."
The Leeds starlet faces a tough task if he wants to stake a claim for a regular starting berth once again, with Lewis Cook, Luke Murphy, Rodolph Austin and Alex Mowatt all delivering for Redfearn's side at present.
Others are also waiting in the wings and the hard-working nature of the Yorkshire side's win over Middlesbrough demonstrates everything Adryan will have to embrace if he is to make a lasting impact at Elland Road.
But Redfearn's update is very encouraging. We may yet be seeing plenty more of the 20-year-old...
