Leeds United continued their fine run of form on Saturday, defying the odds to beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Riverside Stadium.
Boro sat top of the table before the meeting of the two sides, but Leeds made it five wins in the last six games with an impressive 1-0 victory.
Neil Redfearn's men scored early through Alex Mowatt, and managed to hang on to the solitary goal right up until the 100th minute of the game after a lengthy amount of injury time.
The hero of the day was goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, who somehow managed to keep Middlesbrough at bay on numerous occasions, with Aitor Karanka's men laying siege to the Leeds goal with 27 attempts - but none found the back of the net.
Midfielder Adam Clayton played played the full 90 minutes for Boro, featuring against his former club - and took to Twitter after the game to suggest his side were unlucky.
Clayton, 26, played 41 games for Leeds after joining from Manchester City in 2010, but left in acrimonious circumstances in 2012, joining Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town in order to reunite with ex-Leeds boss Simon Grayson.
Fans will be happy to have got one over Clayton, who was largely anonymous in midfield as Lewis Cook took charge of the game for Leeds.
