Liverpool considering Barcelona fringe man Adriano - report

The Brazilian full-back has not been a regular feature under Luis Enrique, with the Reds ready to pounce according to The Mirror.

Liverpool are weighing up a potential summer move for Barcelona’s Adriano, according to The Mirror.

The Brazilian full-back, who can also operate in midfield, has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season and as such is being linked with a move away from Camp Nou.

The report claims that a bid in the range of £7 million would be enough to convince the Catalan giants to part company with the 30-year-old, who has been on their books for five years after signing from Sevilla.

The versatile South American has only featured in eight La Liga games this season, starting only three, with the likes of Jordi Alba and Dani Alves ahead of him in the pecking order.

In Brendan Rodgers’ bespoke 3-4-3 formation, the wing-backs play important roles in the side and as such there is certainly an argument that a player of Adriano’s experience could offer an extra option for the Merseyside club next season.

The Brazilian’s current contract at Camp Nou runs until the summer of 2017, after renewing with the Catalan giants in May 2013.
