The Merseyside youngsters went head to head at Everton's training ground this week.
The Merseyside Derby is always a big affair, no matter what level it is played at. Yesterday then was no different as the under-18 outfits for Everton and Liverpool clashed.
The Merseyside clubs faced off in the U18 Premier League match at Finch Farm in what is called the 'Kid Derby'. In the senior field Liverpool have dominated this fixture in recent times.
But that was not the case in Halewood, as Everton gave Liverpool an absolute pasting.
The Toffees won the game 5-0, without being challenged by the Liverpool youngsters.
Two goals from their striker Calum Dyson were added to by Harry Charsley, Jack Bainbridge and Liam Walsh as Everton made a mockery of their local rivals.
When you look at the U18 Premier League table the result is perhaps no surprise. Liverpool are seventh in the table but Everton are well clear of them. They are second in the league, a whole 15 points ahead of Liverpool in the table.
They scored goals for fun yesterday afternoon and it was certainly a wonderful advert for the Everton youth system. For Liverpool, it was a result they would like to be swept under the rug.
