After Thursday's 3-3 Europa League draw with Inter Milan, Celtic returned to league action today, and were faced with an out-of-form Hamilton Academical.
The first half wasn't Celtic's finest, as whilst they pushed for the opening goal, they couldn't make the breakthrough - but the second half was a different tale.
After a striding run from Virgil van Dijk, playmaker Kris Commons swooped to score the opening goal, before van Dijk was again at the heart of a Celtic goal, seeing his shot parried before Stefan Johansen tucked the ball away.
The confidence was pouring through Celtic at this point, and John Guidetti made it three with a close range finish from Emilio Izaguirre's left wing cross, following up from his goal against Inter.
Then, Commons made it four late on with a finish from inside the box after more good work from defende van Dijk, who was virtually freelancing against a tepid Hamilton side.
The win sends Celtic off to Italy for the second leg against Inter in good spirits, whilst they also moved back to three points clear of Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
