It was a case of new manager, same problems for Aston Villa on Saturday as Tim Sherwood fell to a 2-1 debut defeat to Stoke City.
Sherwood was appointed last weekend, arriving at Villa Park as Paul Lambert's replacement after a torrid run of ten games without a win.
Yet early against Stoke, it looked like Sherwood was going to have the dream start to life at Villa, with on loan winger Scott Sinclair heading Fabian Delph's cross into the far corner to give Villa a rare lead.
However, that was as good as it got for Villa, as Mame Biram Diouf headed Stoke level on the stroke of half time, before Mark Hughes' men won the game in dramatic fashion.
Villa defender Ron Vlaar upended Stoke winger Victor Moses inside the area, giving away an injury time penalty and receiving a red card just to compound the misery.
Moses picked himself up to stroke home the penalty, leaving Sherwood in despair - as seen in one of the images below.
Here are some of the best images from the game as Sherwood tasted defeat, with Vlaar clearly dejected after his red card and game-changing foul.
