Harry Kane scored on the rebound from a late penalty attempt.
Tottenham Hotspur fought back late on against West Ham United this afternoon, with a late show from Danny Rose and Harry Kane doing the trick.
West Ham had a deserved lead thanks to goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho but then a mistake from Adrian and a late penalty cost them all three points.
Rose benefited from the Adrian error while Kane won the penalty before taking the spot-kick from 12 yards. Kane has struggled from the penalty spot throughout his career so far. With Roberto Soldado and Christian Eriksen on the pitch i it was certainly a small surprise to see him step up and take the kick.
But who would argue with Kane at the moment given his recent form. But his penalty was telegrammed to the keeper's right and Adrian save the effort. The problem was where the ball rebounded. It fell straight back into the path of Kane, who slammed the equaliser home.
It was his 24th goal in the season and one former Tottenham striker has had his say on his goal. Gary Lineker netted goals galore for Tottenham Hotspur. He scored 80 goals for Spurs in a three-year spell at White Hart Lane.
And he joked that rather than a miss from Kane, it was in fact a tactical one-two with Adrian.
Harry Kane is so good that when he takes a penalty he plays a one-two with the keeper before scoring.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) February 22, 2015
