A former Arsenal striker has had his say on a player linked with a possible move to North London.
According to a report from the Daily Star back in January, Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in bringing Alexandre Lacazette to the Premier League; and when you consider his goal-scoring record this season that is no surprise.
The 23-year-old has scored 25 goals in just 29 matches for Lyon this season, while he also has seven assists in that period.
In total for the French side, Lacazette has netted 63 goals in 175 matches and his age and undeniable talent make him the perfect target for an Arsenal side on the verge of recreating their glory days considering the players currently at their disposal.
Now Henry has been speaking to the French publication about a player making waves in Ligue 1 and garnering plaudits from across Europe.
“What Lyon are doing this season is beautiful,” the Arsenal legend said. “For me, right now, Lacazette is extraordinary. He has become aware of his qualities…congratulations to him.”
With Henry’s continued close ties to Arsenal, and as he makes his first steps into the world of coaching, it will be interesting to see if he ultimately plays a role in bringing his prolific countryman to the Emirates Stadium.
