MK Dons midfielder is reported to be undergoing medical treatment at his new club Tottenham Hotspur.
Dele Alli may be a Tottenham player but his time at the club prior to this week extended to just his whirlwind medical and signature on deadline day.
He immediately headed back to MK Dons on loan until the season's end, where he has been in magnificent form, scoring twice since returning bringing his total to 14 for the season.
Now an injury is threatening to curtail his campaign, and Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be keen to assess the damage.
BBC Three Counties reporter George Doyle also stated via Twitter that Spurs were assessing the midfielder.
The MKWeb report fears Alli could even be ruled out for the entire season, but such is the mystery over the injury, initially thought to be just a knock, it also would not be a surprise if he featured in the squad this weekend to face Peterborough United.
His injury will become a lot clearer if not before the game then after when manager Karl Robinson addresses the media.
Until then it is perhaps at least encouraging for fans of both clubs that MK Dons and Tottenham appear to be coming together in order to give him the best treatment and advice possible, illustrating how highly regarded he is.
